Services Offered

Tree Health Including: Soil, Water and Forestry Management

Only a Certified Arborist should be assessing and providing recommendations for Tree Removal or Trimming based on overall Tree Health. A Certified Arborist can provide tree identification, selection and biology as well as Installation and Establishment of Trees. They can diagnose overall health and provide an optimized treatment plan for the proper management of your trees. An Arborist will also be able to provide and assess Tree Risk Management and Tree Protection which will aid in determining when and if the need is present for removal. This will keep your area safest by knowing if and when your tree is at the greatest risk to causing damage in your area or to your home or business.

Tree Trimming Service

Insurance companies now require trees to be trimmed at least 10 feet above and away from your home.

Trees limbs should never be allowed to touch the roof as it will wear the shingles thin and allow water to enter over time.
Your electric service wires should be free of limbs touching to prevent the coating from wearing off and creating a potential problem.

During regular tree pruning and trimming, your tree trimming service may recommend that a tree be removed. Only a Certified Arborist should determine if a tree is ready for removal. This recommendation will only be made when it is clear that the tree is compromised beyond what a tree pruning service can fix. Perhaps the tree is just old, or it may be suffering from a pest infestation or a disease that has made it structurally unsound and thus dangerous.

Tree Removal Service

Tree removal is never easy. It can be very dangerous for an individual to try to remove a tree from their own property if they do not have experience with tree removal. Many people choose to hire a tree removal service to help them get rid of unwanted trees as quickly and easily as possible. Here at Wood Tree Service, we pride ourselves on being one of the best choices for anyone who is looking for tree removal company.

The tree removal service begins by identifying the trees that need to be removed from the property, again only a Certified Arborist should make this recommendation. Sometimes a tree needs to be removed because it is sick and the disease might spread to other trees that are nearby. In general, a tree should be removed if a majority of the trunk is showing signs of disease, especially if more trees of the same species are nearby. Other signs that a tree is sick and might need to be removed include severe trunk damage and large fungal growths near the base of the tree, which can indicate root disease. A tree with large numbers of dead branches might also need to be removed because those branches can easily break and cause significant damage to people and property when they fall. At other times, we remove trees because they are obstructing construction projects or blocking views. Trees can also be removed because taking care of them is an unwanted inconvenience for a property owner.

Stump Grinding

At times, it may become necessary to completely remove a tree from your property. While removing the above-ground portion tends to go fairly quickly and easily, removing the portion that remains below ground – the stump – can be more challenging. Here, you will want to bring in a stump grinding service for both stump removal and stump grinding.

Stump Removal

Tree stump removal will typically extend up to 10 inches below the ground surface to remove the stump itself and as much as possible of the outgrowing root system. While some individuals may choose to leave the stump portion, there are many good reasons to have it removed when you have the tree removed. This process is different than Stump Grinding. Please make sure to discuss both options during your bid and our team is happy to help determine which will work best for you.
